OK....i've started another creatine regiment and im currently taking EAS Phosphagen....the one in the white bottle not the purple one. I've beening shittin a lot and im wondering is that normal? And when i mix the creatine...their is like this gritty sandy like thing in the bottom of the glass after im done drinking it...am i suppose to drink that shit too??? :screwy:

Your just not mixing it well enough, which is why your having problems with your bowels and why you have the gritty stuff at the bottom. When you dont mix the creatine up well enough it has a hard time being broken down which means the crystal form of creatine makes it to your intestines and there it HAS to be digested so it draws water into your intestines to break it up, after that the water only has one way to go out.
Mix it up in a shaker or a bottle that you can cap, just stirring it in a cup wont mix it up well at all. Shake the hell out of it, the better you mix it the easier it will be on your stomach. You might want to also try mixing it with something that is room temp or warm like coffee since it will mix more easily with a warmer liquid.

Are you doing a loading phase? How many grams are you taking per day?

I take the horse pills. I've heard that if you're gonna take creatine, you need to drink lots of water to stay hydrated. If not, your intestines will let you know. I too, have noticed a decent gain in endurance and power. I was just curious as to what diet you follow.Diet makes all the difference when training. How many calories, what foods, ect. P.M. me if you get a chance. Thanks.

I like the pills better. Much harder to swallow, but less liquid needed to do so. I used to use powder. But, I had the same problem with having to run to the bathroom about 10-15 min afterwards.

Personally I gotta go with the powder. It gets absorbed more quickly. Just mix it with something warm, use a shaker too, not just a spoon to mix it up. I used to have a problem with the whole bathroom thing but ever since I started taking it with some warm (room temp) grape or apple juice, I havent had a problem yet.

I just get so sick of taking freaking pills. Between different vitamins and nitric oxide im taking about 15 pills a day, so any fewer will make me happy. They do have advantages, like how people dont think anything if you pop a few horse pills, but when you pull out that plastic bag that you put your serving of creatine in and all people see is a bag of white powder they look at you funny.

I glad you guy told me about the shits! Now I must tell my brother to make sure he mixes the creatine ALL time way.

I was thinking about getting the pills but the fact the it is a pill gets me. I'd rather have the kool-aid type stuff....

Loading will give you the runs if you are sensitive to it, just fuck the loading phase your body can only absorb so much creatine anyway you are just wasting your time loading, take a normal dose.

and you do it to get your body used to it quicker? No. I'm all natural. Sorta. I stopped back in high school. I took normal doses because I cant rush creatine in my system.

During loading your just trying to build up your creatine stores. Some say it works and you should do it, others say its crap and a waste. Personally I do it...kinda...i just try to take an extra dose for the first few days. For me one dose is 10g so it equals what a "normal" loading phase dose is....I have got to get some creatine ethel ester or whatever the hell its called. Its really up to you if you want to do it or not.

The good: Many people report increasing their lean muscle mass
between 6 and 10 lbs while using CM, though gains seem to stop after
that point. CM is nontoxic, even in large amounts.

The bad: Some people report symptoms including headaches, clenched
teeth, and the sound of blood rushing in their ears while using CM.
Creatines effects on blood pressure are an open question. Since it
has the effect of fluid retention in muscle, it might increase blood
pressure in the same way high sodium levels do, but this has not been
established or refuted. Also, it is expensive

When I am in an off cycle i might loose some mass but thats just because of the water retention. As far as strength, i have actually found the first week after Im in an off cycle I can lift a little more, I know that makes absolutely no sense at all but still. Creatine can be had for dirt cheap at your local GNC so why stop? Unless you are just a non responder.

people lose their kidneys on that shit. yeah those are extreme cases but my point is that creatine monohydrate just hasnt been studied for a long enough time

Just drink water and you'll be fine.

That's exactly correct, and the gist of the entire argument on why to avoid creatine. 10 years down the line they'll say , "oh yeah, btw, we just discovere that creatine causes cancer" or something ridiculous like that. Just leave those things, concentrate on protein and your workout. I went up from 165 lbs to 200 lbs in 6 months after finishing 11 tubs of protein, and strneous workouts...it really works, leave the wierd supplements alone.
