why are there so many dumb, ignorant people?

don't get me wrong i love my job, but lots of the people i have to deal with...drive me crazy. for example, the people that call us up and say oh i saw such and such a product on ur website and was wondering if u had it in the store...wtf why? if it's on the website, why drive all the way here to purchase it for an even higher price when u could just order it off the computer? or company is going to hell too, my boss is having an affair with one of the girls that works there, who just quit so they can continue their relationship, people are getting fired and arguments are happening over stupid stuff ugh just lots of crap going on. there's just so many people that ask dumb questions or are rude. i'm not thinking i'm superior or anything, they really are dumb questions. i work at a pet store and we allow people to bring in their pets *typically dogs* and yeah, accidents happen. so we have paper towels and cleaning spray stationed around the store. some lady's dog goes to the bathroom right in front of one of the guys i work wtih and he's like ma'am we have towels over there so u can clean that up. she looks at him and says "that's ur job" and walks away. this one lady started yelling at me cuz i wouldn't give her a free bag of dog food even after i called my manager to verify that the ad she was talking about was wrong. dumb bitch... rawr or the people that come in like 2 minutes before we close and then stay until 30 minutes after we close. we even turned the lights off and these people couldn't take a hint and leave. after working in retail i will never do that to someone again, showing up a couple minutes before they close. mean people suck. period.

Ive worked in grocery stores for years, i feel your pain. Theres nothin much you can do besides just keep yourself away from the stupid crap and just do your job, get your check, and go home.

I know how that goes from retail work too sucks ass, Sivics right though I think most of us hate our jobs and just wait for that check, speaking of which I get mine today..your only hope is to land yourself some job where you sit in a cubicle surfing the internet and pretending to work, I envy their daily boredom and lack of social interaction. As for the people shopping past closing, kick their asses out just make an announcement over the PA system its CLOSED. :evillol:

lol we make announcements we're closing in 15 minutes, in 5 minutes, we're closed now, JUST GET THE FUCK OUT OF OUR STORE god why don't they stay and face the store and we'll just go home. sounds like a good deal since they're just dying to be there lol

I actually locked two people in the store on purpose. Waited 10 minutes, then reopened, saying, "I'm so sorry ,I was closing and had expected everyone to have understood that." I became the manager the next week, go figure.
