Made it to the 12:01AM showing and took one of 4 remaining seats in the theater.

Wait in Line: 5 1/2 hours
Seating: 5th Row, Center (about 3 seats to the right of center)
Food: None (ate well before the movie started)
Visibility: Almost perfect
Living Conditions: Horrible, noisy, SMELLY. I hate rude people with a passion.

After two and a half hours sitting next to the fat retard laughing every time a wookiee growled or R2D2 chirped, I was somewhat in a rush to leave the theater. I only made it to "and Frank Oz as Yoda" before I fled. Jaywalked to the car and got out of there before all hell broke loose.

This was definitely worth the wait, both in line and the few years since Episode II. Save for a bit of stunted acting in some parts and a rather dissappointing Vader appearance at the end (since when is Vader all melodramatic?), this was a terrific movie. This is better than The Empire Strikes Back, in my opinion.

I'd give it a straight A overall. Definitely going to watch it at least twice more.

LOOK FOR: Lucas cameo, dead Youngling with severed hand sitting next to him/her (NOBODY saw this?!)

I like it, but in a way I also kind of didn't. This film is very dark and it stands out from every Star Wars movie and doesn't seem to fit with the others.

The thing I really didn't like though was Anakin and Obi Wan's duel. People have known about that duel for 27 years and they hardly show it. They keep breaking between it and Yoda and Sidious' duel. I wish they would of fixed that a bit.

It was cool though when Anakin went up to the younglings and they were "what are we going to do master Skywalker?" and he flips his lightsaber on (I know I'm evil).

I liked it all, kept the pace moving, finally gave us what I wanted, more huge battle scenes, more lightsaber fights and finally tieing the knot together for the whole 6 series. My favorite part was the Obi-Wan Vs. Anakin, its pretty cool how they keep moving along, fighting while they try to not fall into the lava, also when Anakin got burned man.. :owned:

Best Starwars episode ever.

I called the burning Anakin "Gimp on Fire".

I don't understand why people were disappointed with the Anakin vs. Obi-Wan fight. It's the best in the series by far, considering how dull the later duels are in comparison.

Be happy with what Lucas gave us.

Just got back, and it was by far, the best Star Wars episode ever...I got goosebumps when Palpatine put on his Emporer robes, and the last scene with the sunset...absolutley amazing movie. Where was the Lucas cameo? I'm going back sometime this weekend so I'll have to look for it.

Phenomenal film, indeed! So many lightsaber duels (love the lightsaber action.) I also really liked the dark tone of the movie as well. But even when there were some funny snippets here and there, they fit so seamlessly, that they didn't detract AT ALL from the plot progressing around them (unlike a certain annoying alien who speaks hybrid ebonics.) I will agree that some parts were a tad bit melodramatic (Vader's "NOOOOOO!!!" at the end kind of jarred me a bit) but when taking the scope of the movie as a whole into consideration, observations like that are nitpicky at best. Did the movie succeed in giving me goosebumps? Yes it most certainly did, and on numerous occasions as well. There's just something about prequels (when done right) in that they tend to strike powerfully with very little effort. And this film succeeded hardcore. I'll almost definately go to see it again on the bigscreen, and there are VERY few movies that will affect me like that. And might I just add, that Darth Sidious is ONE EVIL BASTARD. I very clearly heard numerous gasps from younger kids in the audience (including the one sitting behind me.) Lucas spared no expense in absolutely infusing Palpatine with pure and absolute vileness. This one single-handedly returned the prequel series to glory.

Lucas makes a cameo in the scene before Palpatine and Anakin go into the Senate Theater. He's a blue guy with a large hat, somewhat in the foreground.

Better than episodes 1 and 2 by far, but not the originals. Sorry, the dialogue/acting was mostly terrible and every scene with Anakin and Padme was AWFUL. The worst part by far is Vader at the end going "NOOOOOO!!!!" I smacked my forehead on that one. The opening scene was terrific. I would have liked to see more Wookiee fighting though! What a tease! Anakin getting torn up by Obiwan and burning at the end was fantastic.

I really liked the movie, all of it, except for natalie's acting, she seemed kinda awkward especially when she told him to hold her like when they were at naboo, the crap...I thought it was cool when he yelled out "nooooo" at the end cause he fucked everything in the room up.

No complaints from me. Vader yelling at the end was pretty much the final transition to him becoming completely evil and filled with hopelessness, also the darkside apparently is about only worrying about yourself, Sidious told him he killed Padme so he would have nothing else to latch onto, and he would have no one but himself and the emperor. Good movie over all

I agree, I dont know why people really thought that it was pretty dumb when he did that when its a symbol of him going through his final stage like Josh said.

That was the last of Anakin until Episode VI...

Watched the old trilogy back to back to back on DVD yesterday and had some fun reciting the lines, pissing off my brother.

I was supposed to see this over the weekend and got stuck doing something else. I'm really ticked I haven't seen it yet but will probably do so sometime this week. I really can't wait!

i made a last minute mad-dash to the theater at 10:00 last night to see it. I watched the first two before I left. I really enjoyed it but the shit was fooking depressing, yo! But I definately got goosebumps. I was sitting in my chair with one leg shaking going "nonono, don't do that ani!! no-she loves you!" lol i don't know what it is with us people. We KNOW he's going to be vader soon, we KNOW palpatine is going to massively fuck some shit UP, we KNOW he's going to lose to Obi one, we KNOW she's going to die in childbirth... and we're still going "OH GOD NOOOO...." It was very dark. Especially when he killed the kids. I loved it. Depressing or not, I'll be dragging my girlfriend to go see it a second time. Plus I missed the very beginning. I was a quarter short. A Freaking QUARTER!!! that I HAD before I got there; counted it twice. And later, found it under my seat. So I had to sneak into the theater... because of a freaking quarter. Theater still got my money though, so they didn't get cheated.

I saw it again like last friday, it was sweet...I walked in kinda late around when Anakin just got all the little droids off Obi-Wan's fighter. It's funny I was talking to my friend before I saw it and I told him "You know it's funny, we know whats going to happen in the whole movie but yet we still go see it."

Really enjoyed it.

The acting was shit, and the dialogue was terrible, but DAMN MAN!

The battle of Coruscant!! The TIE Fighter/X Wing/Star Destroyer predescessors!! The fight where Anakin gets fucked up!! Palpatine's transformation. The purge of the Jedi. Young Moff Tarkin at the end.

All the stuff we've always heard about finally seen on screen. Good times all round!

Plus Grievous was A++

the the dialogue was killing me at many points, but the action was wonderful!

I missed Tarkin at the end. Welp, that's a good excuse as any to go see it again.

Just saw it... yes, it gave me goosebumps, but the acting in some of the lesser action-filled scenes needed work... but overall great movie, very powerful.

loved it. Two things. first, is it just me or did Obi wan seem more willing to fight in this one. He usually has a big grin on his face when he's about to fight and is quite a bit more aggressive. second the part where Mace Windu is about to slice the emperor and Anakin tries to block the lightsaber(so it seems) and cuts Windu's arm, that's what really gave me goosebumps because Mace is one of my fav characters and that's the big turning point when the sith start to win.
