Paint Prep

I want to get my 2002 Honda Civic LX painted.What prep work can I do to lower the cost. :naughty:

It would be better to just leave it to the paint shop to do because they will not give you a discount for prep of the car in fact they may charge you more if they have to correct any errors you make in the process of getting it stripped down.It seems like a good idea but steer clear unless you can find someone willing to help you hands on in the process.
