How do you properly adjust the TPS once it's been replaced? I can't find any procedures for it in my manual.

I just had to go through this procedure on my 95 Geo 1.0L.

1. Disconnect the plug
2. Loosen both screws that attach your TPS.
3. On the driver's side of the Throttle Body is your throttle lever stop screw. Place a .012" feeler gage between the throttle lever and stop screw.
4. Use a multimeter to check for continuity between terminals A & B of the TPS. These would be the two terminals closest to the firewall.
5. Slowly adjust the TPS to the point where you are just able to get continuity between A & B.
6. Tighten the TPS mounting screws and make sure you still have continuity.
7. Remove the .012" feeler gage and replace it with a .035" feeler gage (or use .017" and .018" together). Check continuity again between A & B. This time, there should be no continuity.
8. Once you have continuity at .012" and no continuity at .035", plug it back in, you should be good to go.

The Haynes manual threatens against messing with the throttle lever stop screw. It's factory set and shouldn't be adjusted. Just thought I'd throw that in there.

Hope this helps.
