hi
brand new car.

there are small dots everywhere on the back window.

could this be caused by parking under a tree>>??

because the day after i parked under the tree i was going to work and was getting smear marks on the front, and lots of dots on the back.

water runs away from the spots.....

when mositure is applied to the window the dots faintly appear, but you see nothing when dry.

will stripping the window help, or is that not reccomended on a new car???

just get some bug and tar remover and wipe it down.

tried that.. no luck

it seems the oil or whatever it is, is in the glass itself, if that makes any sense.

and at certin angles it appears that there are thousands of small dots, look like sun spots or something, but they are hard to see. this again with absolutley nothing on the window

what do i do?

is it defective glass, or am i screwed?

the only time you see the dots is when water is applilied.

It could be the process used for the polarization, Most newer cars you can see almost white "spots" in the glass. (at least I can) They also appear in the other glass as well. If you own polarized sunglasses try looking at the spots with and without them to see if they change/disappear.

Most OTC is like 70%. You could try some in a small area as a test.
