ok, so the dealeo here is that i need a new exaust from the cat to the end of the car. What kind of exaust should i get? should i go stock? or performance? I also would like to know what kind of price range i'm looking at.

Thank you

Well you can do some searching for cat-back exhausts...many will tell you to get an aftermarket larger exhaust for a few reasons

1) cheaper
2) better for gas mileage
3) a bit more hp

However, it will be a bit louder...so you should know that ahead of time.

Now you have 2 options if you decide to get a larger exhaust. Either buy an aftermarket one...costs range from $400-$700...or find a muffler online that you like, and then go to your local exhaust shop and ask them to custom build you an exhaust (probably want 2.5") I had this done and mounted for $200. Others may charge up to $300. Typically a guy will usually volunteer to do it on the side (as he makes 100% profit) and this works out to your advantage too, as it is cheaper for you. If one place wont do it, ask another...I know dozens of places/people that will do it around me.

Oh, another thought, if you don't want a louder exhaust, but still want to save money, ask them to build you a custom catback exhaust...but just stick with the stock size...will work just as well.

DON'T buy from the dealership they will just grossly OVERCHARGE you for parts and labor.

haha, well my exuast is loud as hell as it is, so i don't think that i would mind it a little loud. As far as cheaper, i got a quote from Meineke or something like that and it was 160$ for the cat back. you said it would be cheaper to go with a custom.... the 160 is for the stock exaust... are you sure about it being cheaper?

Well in that case, go with the stock...custom probably wont be cheaper...but that sounds cheap as hell for stock. When I replaced my stock muffler it cost me liek $150 at meineke..so who knows? Typically, stock parts are somewhat expensive..especially at the dealership. But whatever works I guess, if you can get a good deal like that, then why not go with it.
