I just bought front and rear DCSports carbon steel strut tower bars from www.extrememotorsports.com, I already found out that the rear bar was mis packaged and I was sent the wrong one. They are pretty good about it and are going to ship me the right one. However when I went to put on the front on it seemed to fit fine(in that it was long enough and the bolt holed lined up) However when I went to latch my hood, halfway up on the passnger side of the hood bulges up about 1/4 to 1/2 inch. I took a closer look and it seems like the mounting point on the passenger side of the Strut bar is hitting the underside of the actual hood and not just the hood bracing. I have a Carbon Fiber hood, but it is the Oem style and the driver side seems to be fine. Has anyone else used these Strut bars and If so did you have anyproblems installing it?????? Or did I also possibly get the wrong front bar also?????? Please help

Honestly, I didn't know DC made any parts for ANY Mitsu, but you could always try washers in between the hood hinges and hood...

I had thought about the washers but that is just going raise my hood, which is already perfect where it is. It will not look right and also I think that the gap is too big to be solved by washers. Heres a better site of the product and in the picture the cresent of which you mount to the strut tower is facing out as where the one on the Bar I have is facing in???? I know pics aren't always accurate but I am starting to think more that it is the wrong bar.

try turning your bar the other way. Meaning if it goes up in the middle turn it so the middle goes down. Thats what i had to do for my car cause i had the same problem.
