Pulling wheel bearing - which slide hammer?

I've been looking at slide hammers, and am not sure which to get. It appears that some have a bracket that slips on over the lug bolts, and you use the lugnuts to tighten it down. Others have three metal fingers that go inside of holes that are on the hub. The problem is the three holes on the Pontiac aren't evenly spaced, so the fingers on the slide hammer doesn't fit the holes.
Has anyone used the bracket bolted over the lug studs? Does this work OK?

if your doing the front wheel bearings there are 4 15mm bolts on the back side next to the axle (half shaft) take them loose and just knock it out with a hammer.

Hi Troy,
I did the job last night. (It's 3 bolts, 13mm, btw). The bearing literally popped out into my hands. New one in - all good. I'll remember your suggestion for next time.
