AC Blowing hot air always

Posted the above in the wrong forum before been directed here.
I just bought a used W124 230E and anytime you switch on the AC It blows out hot air. Pls what do you think is wrong? Will really appreciate your response

It could be a number of things which need hands-on diagnosing so it's kind of impossible for me to tell you what it is. If I had the car the first thing I would do is evacuate the A/C and see if there was any freon in the system. If there wasn't then most likely you have a leak and I'd go from there and find where the leak is.

Other than that it could be anything from the pushbutton control unit, bad compressor, faulty sensor, etc.
