Yes....you'll need the coolant recovery tank for a '99 and up for the Thrasher CAI. I got mine from 3800performance.com when I purchased the Thrasher CAI for my '97 GTP. It was around $30. Good luck!

Same here. Bought everything as a group buy. CIA, 9" cone, 3.4" pulley and overflow bottle.
Saved a bunch.

Talking about the black one? One end attaches to cone filter. The other goes over the end of the TB. Just like stock air box. The main dif about the Thrasher is where the PCM goes. Stock is in air box. Thasher's goes under CIA,

No, I am talking about the coolant hose. The hose I got with the 1999 tank doesn't look long enough to reach the connection at the coolant cap. Do I just use the hose from the stock coolant tank ???

How short are you? I would use the old overflow hose to get up and running, otherwise you'll need to get a longer hose available at the auto parts stores.

Yes, I know but, it's a real pain drilling the holes so, I used super strong velcro with adhesive backing to hold it at the top where the two screws would go and at the bottom where the U shaped slot is on the bottle. It held awesome. The bottle was very secure. But, it turned out to be a very bad idea. When the car got to operating temperature the adhesive backing melted and the coolant bottle slid of the strut tower and on to the alternator pulley which was obviously spinning and melted a half circle hole right through the bottle. I feel like a real dumb ass for thinking that velcro would hold but, it did. The adhesive just couldn't handle the heat. Lesson learned. Tomorrow a new bottle will go on with self tapping screws. :screwy:

There's a reasonable explanation for everything. Good luck the second time around.

I just got my new coolant overflow from Intense today, next day air. The shipping was more than the tank, $29.99 for the tank $33.00 for shipping, I must be nuts but, I didn't want to wait. Anyway, my girlfriend has been driving the car without the tank for a couple days now and no problems yet. It makes me nervous though. New pulley, tensioner and plugs go in this Friday.

My 3.4" pulley, plugs, tensioner, CAI, PCM and coolant tank went in and everthing works great! Nice HP and tq gain all the way around. Now I need a couple other things like U-bend delete and some heat barrier for the exhaust pipe under the throttle body. Anybody got a U-bend delete for sale?

Sorry can't help you on the u-bend delete. Here's a link to a ready made one:
http://www.pfyc.com/store/merchant.mv?Store_Code=PFYC&Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=GPEXH
Plus a local muffler/exhaust shop should be able to help you out. Another option would be to get a hi-flow CAT with u-bend delete included. Good luck!

Should have either gone to a junk yard and bought one off a 1999-2002, or bought one from the dealer. Think they are like $45.00.
Didn't think Velco was a good idea. Tried it on some of my computer stuff, fell off. And they didn't get too warm.
