I want to install an awesome stereo system in my car, which is a 1987 Nissan 200SX SE V6, but i really don't know what I need to get. I already have a pair of 12" subwoofers, a pair of 3-way speakers in the back (180w), and a pair of dome tweeters for the front. I am going to purchase a pair of speakers for the door panels and an amp. The thing is, I don't know what kind of amp to get, and I don't know how powerful it needs to be. Can someone please help me out!!???

It's true not all name brand sound system will last, but mtx and rockford fos, are the shit. I used to have a rockford fos class D that pounded great. I now have 1 Solabaric L5 and a 421D mono, in my 240 and it's great. Let us know what kind of subs you give some imput on the type of amp

id live and die with eclipse
i had an eclipse 10" on a sony 500w mono amp and it pounded harder than this one dude's two RF 12's and RF amps(not sure of wattage but they werent small)
sold that eclipse and bought two alpine type R 12s. they dont thump as hard really but i like the tight bass sound they make and you cant really hear them outside the car when im driving, which i like also
JL is also great but my personal preference is eclipse

I love the new Directed Audio SX line. They finally made a sub that looks as killer as it sounds. I'm trying to posts pics of them on here but I can't get my pics down to 80k!!!!
If going with subs in the rear especially if they are decent, I strongly suggest getting a great pair of componet 6.5" speakers for the front and run them off a good amp. If you get it right, it will make the music sound that much better. The subs and and mids/highs will complement themselves.
