Rev limiter on an 2.8?

I have a 89 Cavalier with a 2.8L v6, which I use for my daily driver and while it sure doesn't compete with my Stang for acceleration, I enjoy driving the hell out of it once in a while. Any way, I'm wondering if anybody can tell me what the rev limiter is on this thing. I have looked all over the place and can't seem to find anywhere that lists a solid number.
Thanks!
Thanks!

If its an automatic, there isn't one (except in neutral, and you're mildly retarded if you find the rev limiter while in neutral). If its a stick, then someone else probably knows.

I think it is 6,000rpm same with an auto. but if its an automatic, rev it up and it will not let you over 4,000rpm if im not mistaken.

That's on newer motors. On my old 3.1 it would rev ridiculously high. However, there is a limiter for the revs while in neutral or park. I've never noticed one while in drive on an auto.

How old is your 3.1. I was refering to the 1993 3.1 now if you talking older then that then..you would be correct. But i also beleve that the cpu controlls this and now i beleve its the same computer.Overall, you would be correct.

They're basically the same motor, but from 93-94 there were a few tweaks to the 3.1. If memory serves the 90-92 made 180 lb/ft while the 93-94 made 185 lb/ft
