Door clank

When I hit a bump, sometimes my drivers side door makes a loud clanking noise. It seems to be coming from the the door striker. I usually hear it at 5mph over a speed bump or driving off the driveway. I was thinking of replacing the striker - it does have some fresh wear - and maybe doing a pin and bushing replacement in the hinge. When I have the door open and pull the door up and down there is some play. Has anyone experienced this or have any thoughts?

What are some good door seal replacements? Should I go with soffseal or get it from LMC?
Thanks

I just had this on mine. It was the window stop in the bottom of the door. The spot welds failed and the piece was floating around in the bottom of the door. If you remove the door panel and look under the paper you will be able to see if the welds are gone. They are located in the middle of the door.

The striker should have a wide nylon ring around the metal shaft. By your kind of mileage these often become dry, brittle and fall off. Look and see!
I replaced the hinges on my R/V (earlier body) model and still had movement/sagging in the driver's door. Turned out the door skin had separated at the leading edge, you could see it flex away from the door frame if you knew where to look. Solution was to remove the door, strip out soft trim and glass, then re-fold and weld the door skin.
