noise unknown source

I have a 94 euro that makes the sound of a jet airplane when going down the road. I replaced a wheel bearing that seemed loose but that did not cure the noise. I might replace the other wheel bearing to see if that is it. Or could it be an issue with the transmission? It seems that you cannot hear the noise outside of the car only on the inside while driving. It starts out slow and low and reaches a roaring jet plane sound at travel speeds. any ideas thanks yehaw

Look at yer tires? Seen a lot of those with really cupped and feathered tread on the rear, makes really loud road noise.

try the other hub, as drivetrain noises can transmit side to side.

Sorry I kind of forgot that I posed here.... I found that the jet airplane noise was my CV joint on the drive shaft passanger side. But thanks tons for your responses, time, and advice. Thanks again, yehaw
