My friend has a GMC 1500 Ext. Cab and he wants to put subs and a amp in there. Any ideas where to put the subs. Will they fit behind the back seat? Do any of you have a blue print to make your own sub box so it will fit behind the seat? I think he wants 10" or 12" subs. Any help would be great

I just finished putting 2 10" kicker subs, and alpine amp in my 1994 GMC 4x4 2500 ext cab, long box. I put the amp under the driver’s seat, and the subs are mounted under the back seat. I went down to our local radio shop, and they let me measure up the box that fits my truck (very difficult box to build). The price for the box at the radio shop was $179. I built mine for $30 total. It sounds awesome; I purchased a amp wiring kit at Wal-Mart, (the instruction were in Spanish, no English instructions)
lol

I drew the plans up during my lunch our at work. My day job is a drafter.

send me your e-mail, and what format you would like the plans to be in.

All of my boxes I sell are custom made. I don't have actual blueprints. My suggestion is to look for a sub that requires the smallest amount of space in a vented enclosure. The lack of cabin space is the enemy here. Sealed will work too but may lack in low end responce because this is a truck.
