Changing turn signal light bulb

Anyone know the best way to get to the turn signal bulb to replace it??

Their is no good way. You have to remove the whole assembly from the back of the bumper(yes i am a cadillac tech) it's really a tight spot and a subbie ratchet type wrench is the best way to do it. (yes that tight)

Owners manual says to go at it from under. I found it much easier to disassemble the grille fascia then remove the headlight assembly and the signal housing.

In case you are not aware, there is a TSB Campaign bulletin out on this, Supposed to be covered under a warranty or campaign repair.

Yes, there was a problem with the light sockets getting too hot, believe. The dealer took care of my '05, but only after I realized that the fix was covered, on the second outage.

The new parts and part numbers are at srxturnsignals.shutterfly.com. I made this repair years ago and have not had a problem since.
