All i hear is that Motorex is the only RI that can legalize the skyline. I stumbled across Automobile Concepts Inc., an RI in Miami, FL. http://www.ri-ici.com/

Reading into the site, I came upon the page below, which mentions how to import a vehicle.
http://www.ri-ici.com/HOW_TO_IMPORT_A_VEHICLE.html

After that, i found the NHSTA's site..and i found a Nissan GTS or GTR on the import eligibility list.
http://www.nhtsa.gov/cars/rules/import/elig071404.html

So then i was kinda like whoa, so i read the DOT regulations..and i saw a little bump.
http://www.ri-ici.com/DOT_REGULATIONS.html

But if the Skyline is on the eligibility list, and the RI handles Customs, and they are able to modify the car to make it legal....
you can see where i'm going with this...am i missing something?

Even if the car has to be crashed...wouldn't it make more sense to buy a GTR from japan, as your car, and finding a cheaper model to crash, is a cost prohibitive BUT possible way of importing a Skyline. The car was apparently petitioned to be put on the eligibility list, so i don't see why it won't work.

Thanks guys,
Bryan

because a DOT/CUSTOMS/NHSTA liscened RI eligible to perform the modifications on a SKYLINE can import them. thats why they are on the eligibility list. you cant just have any RI do it, they have to be liscened by the abovementioned branches to do the work on a skyline. as of late, motorex is the only company on that list. other RI's can import the cars, but mrex is the only company able to LEGALIZE them.
