my chirping is still happening

ok, heres the deal. from about 15 miles an hour up to highway speeds. the sound is a chirping (like what birds make). it increases with the speed and no the rpms. it stops whenever i apply the brakes. even slightly. im pretty sure its not bearings and i know its not the suspension or the serp belt. my only thought is becuase it stops when i brake, that it has something to do with the brakes? i dont know brakes systems very well so im unsure of what to look for if this is the problem. as usual any help would be appriciated. any ideas of what else might be wrong would be appriciated aswell. thanks Jess

Yeah, it sounds like the brakes.
Could be that the brake pads are needing to be replaced
or un-even wear of either the brake pads and/or rotors.

Sounds like a warped rotor/brake disc, a common problem, from what I understand.

A warped disc/rotor will cause a pumping sensation in the brake pedal when they are applied. This typically does not cause them to make noises. Typically. I am currently driving with warped rotors right now and they do not make any noise. I would say its either the pads or you got some debris lodged in the rotor or somewhere else that rotates.

you could have a sticking caliper, take the wheels off and lube up the rods and rails that the calipers slide on and see if that helps, good way to tell if this is you prob is if one brake pad is worn a lot more than the other
