i have ka24 single cam in my 240sx and i was wondering if i can use the twin cam ecu (i think its the 10ecu). would it work and/or make a difference in power?

THANKS.

i dont know if it will run right
as far as i know the ka24e has different compression and i know it has different harness
other than that i dont know

Since the KAE tach won't work with the KADE, I"m guessing it's a diff signal which in terms means ECU prolly won't work.

i just tried replacing the ecu from the single cam to twin cam and it seems to run fine. I can't really tell if it made a difference. the only thing wrong is that the "check engine light" keeps blinking. my question is, does anyone know if it made a difference or should i just stick with the single cam ecu?

i doubt it will give better performance. so you did this because you just felt like switching and nothing is wrong with the other one?

SOHC versus DOHC... hence, different ignition timing... i don't see how it even runs... but then if it does... wouldn't it be damaging the engine?

heck, i'd like to know as well...

ur motor didn't blow up yet?
SOHC ecu and DOHC ecu r 2 different ecus. if anything the DOHC ecu will make the car run lean, think about it, DOHC require more fuel on the top end (more cam duration) while the SOHC requires less fuel.... BUT THEN AGAIN, u have a MAF and O2 sensors that will hopefully retard the signal.

acually, the only reason why i did this is just to experiment since i'm going SR anyway. you know... you never know, unless you try.

So the point of switching was......
experimenting?
