1993 1.5 Civic DX. It rolls over just fine, but won't start. We can hear the fuel pump kick on, it is getting fuel, There is spark at the plugs. We are stumped. It was starting to take longer and longer to start over time, but once it did, it ran like a new one. Then this morning, it won't start at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Probably distributor problems. Could be the coil, or something having to do with the distributor in someway. Sorry, that doesn't sound like too much help. But that's what I'm guessing. It isn't very hard to take the distributor apart. I'll try and find you a link to show you how to check the coil. Hold on.

EDIT: I hope this helps you:

You guys are great, that sounds like the problem. I'll try the cheapest route first and let you know what happens. Thanks for the link, that will really help!!

My problems have always been the igniter. $100 each. If you have a shop manual, it will tell you the ohm's you should be getting through various points on it.

Well, It looks like you are right about the igniter. It had the original spark plugs in it I think (220,000 miles, is that possible) So we put plugs in it and a new cap, but ran out of time. Tomorrow I'm going to try and test the igniter and coil. Is an Igniter the same as ICM? I'll let you know how it all turns out. Thanks again!!

Problem solved, it was the igniter (ICM). I bought the whole distributor from Auto Zone for $180 because it has a lifetime warranty. Next time it goes bad it won't cost anything. Thanks for all your help!!
