Any Ideas...

Just a quick question...Does anyone know what the first click on the headlight control does. I thought it was for my parking lights but I have replaced all the bulbs on the car and still I can't find out what is for. Can someone satisfy my curiosity?

dont think it does anything 2nd click is interior lights and 3rd is hedlights.

I guess what you are saying is that your doesn't do anything either?

I was wondering if the 5th gens have a door light sensor control unit. If there is shouldn't it be located under the driver's seat? Any help would be appreciated.

no the 2nd click is rear lights (like having ur headlights on) and ur fog lights on....at least thats waht it does in my st.....see my sig, it turns on the 2 lights in the front bumper, not the ones near the carbon fiber and it turns on your rear lights

heh. i think my RA has only one mode period =P and pull back for high beams

I thought the first click was for side/parking lights?

1st click is nothing i guess-in mine anyway. 2nd click is parking lights. 2nd doesnt turn on my interiors tho like scorpions, or fogs like 91. i use that first click to keep the headlights alwayz up..cuz i like the look better. btw is there anyway to run the parking AND fog lights without having the headlights on without rewiring stuff?

Well, so far I noticed that the 2nd click turns on these lights: interior, bumber, carbon fiber, and rear lights. The 3rd click turns on the head lights and fog lights if they are turned on. Maybe the 1st click turns on something else...

First click does nothing unless your lights are up....when you go to that first click while they are up it turns off your lights, but leaves them up.

I think this is what the first click does...and I got this off of Toyotacelicaonline...After those are off the car, lift up the hood of your car and then raise your head lights (turn your lights switch all the way on-3 clicks- and then turn it back 2 clicks or to where all the lights are off but the headlights are still in the upright position.

It must be so you can clean your headlights without them actually being on. that makes sence.

yea i noticed that they were up and the lights were off before. but i didnt know how they got that way.

1st click doesnt do anything in mine except keep the lights popped up without having the lights on. they have to be up already though.

pretty sure weve already estambilshed that the first click is to keep the lights up
