Hey, I know its dumb and everything. Im dropping off my kit tomorow to get put on and painted. The kit did not come with any grille mesh at all, and I wanna know where to get some good looking mesh. Anyone got any ideas?

Home Depot gutter guard. $1.50 for a 3 foot section with clips. Cheap, good, and looks great.

I went to home depot and found the gutter guard, it was extremely small and would not cover the kit. I looked for other mesh and couldn't find anything I liked. What do you guys think of this?

This is one of those things I'd want to see in person before commiting to. Grillcraft is a reputable company that makes a nice product for the 2gb, including the front enterance and both side ducts. Retail is a little over 100, I believe. Looks spiffy, obviously way overpriced. Otherwise, buy it in person and save on shipping. Even Upstate NY has speedshops in the area that carry this stuff for dirt cheap. The key is to get stuff that is thick, doesn't corrode, and is reasonably malleable. Keep in mind that you have to cut and mold it to fit.
The link posted is six inches thick by a few feet long. It's not thick enough to fit your front bumper. And I wouldn't buy from a place called Race Dreamz with a "z." With a z 'cause it's cool ;)

yea, I have the grillecraft, but this is going on a body kit, so that wont work..... I just cant find anything in auto stores that has big enough sheets that I could cut to fit the holes...
EDIT: Everywhere I go wants 60 or someodd bucks for an 8 by 48 inches sheet... :bs:

Those prices do suck. Maybe you could buy the E-Bay stuff and coat it in anti-rust spray. Like a zinc coating. Or a cheap duplicolor paint. There's still no guarantee that it won't fatigue over time. Cheap E-Bay stuff makes me nervous.
I did a search online and everyone says to use gutter guard, as david-b said. Here's a tutorial site: http://silverknight.clickhere2.net/grille.html I'm not sure what your next move is if it doesn't fit.
OT: This is cheesy, but are you going to end up selling that grillcraft? I'm finising up my 2gb conversion and not digging the massive amount of black space with the new front bumper and no frontmount.

what you need is the stuff that they lay bathroom tile over, they should have it at home depot in the tile section. Its the same stuff grillecraft uses. You'll need to spray it in rustoleum clearcoat since its not rust resistant.
