I have a 99 extended cab sport truck and my driver side door to the rear seats is stuck closed. The door is in good condition with no dents or blemishes that would restrict the door from opening. I pull the door handle and you can hear the lock mechanism unlock but the door wont open. Any suggestions?

this may seem like a dumb question but is there by chance a child lock on the door? I don't know if that is an option on trucks but thats all i could think of maybe causing a problem.

Sorry for jumping the gun on this post but I figured it out. After getting the inside panel off the door while the door was closed there was an access hole that allows you to get your hand inside the door. There are two rods that are threaded on the ends inside that hole that control the upper and lower latchs. In my case the upper rod was attached while the lower rod came detached from the latch mechanism thus not allowing the door to open when the handle was pulled. All that needed to be done is the threaded portion of the rod needed to be pushed back into a brass clip in the latch mechanism. Looks kind of cheap to me and seems to have a high probability of popping out again.
