Hey guys, im going to be taking apart my dash over this summer and i wanna get a headstart on what i should do, im doing it red and black, but i was wondering, i have a spraygun and all that good stuff, but will the paint itself stick to the interior of my 2g? and if so, im going to be clearcoating it as well, help me out please, if the paint wont stick to the interior, is there any substance i could buy so it will stick? thanks for all your help.

My friend and I simply cleaned up it up then took some fine grit sand paper roughed it up. Then used krylon indoo/outdoor. With some armor all looks great. I would use some of the dye's that are for doing this is i did it again.

When I painted interior parts I had to sand with a fine grit paper lightly. I used vinyl paint i got from autozone specifically for interiors. It was vinyl/fabric I think. I lightly sprayed the first coat not solid just a bit till it got tackey. Hit it with a second. Let it sit and dry then hit it with a third. The third was solid making sure to get any parts I missed. I did not do a clear coat it worked out fine for me. But I just did small parts not whole dash..

Those are teh latest pics I have. only two things are painted in them. I have more painted but I havn't had time to take pictures. I did around the stereo, some of the vents, and I'm still trying to get to the front speakers. I'll try to take more pictures when I have time. But it looks really nice and really improves the black interior.

i used some dupont vinyl color...i had it matched to the color of my car. i wiped the parts down with a wax and grease remover and then painted it like you would a car. the paint comes in pints/quarts/gallons.
the paint is actually very durable and will not scratch off with the easy scratch of your fingernail. you would almost have to take a screwdriver and scratch at it pretty hard. the paint is starting to wear off the door handles and stuff but for as much as i use them, i'm surprised it's lasted half this long.
