Please help if possible,
I have a 96 Cavalier coupe with a Delco electronics cassette AM/FM stereo. The AM/FM is working fine, but when I play a cassette, there is a noticeable buzzing from the speakers (particularly in between tracks when there is no other audio). I've tried a wet head-cleaning tape and cleaning out the dust, but the noise hasn't gone down any. Would there be a simple fix for this or should I look into getting a new stereo and/or speakers?
Thanks

You might try using a head demagnetizer tool on the playback heads to solve the problem. A good car audio tech should have one available in the toolbox. All too often, buzzing; or noise is caused by a weak/bad capacitor; or some extraneous noise from the car's electrical system. A good tech/repairperson would first look at poor noise filtering of the unit's motor drive assy. The latter is my guess.
