I am not sure if it is a problem, but it hasn't been doing this till last week. When I am driving my car the boost gauge when in vaccuum stage (not boosting) it flutters...the needle does. So I thought maybe it was just the gauge being wierd but then i looked at my profec boost controller and it was doin the same showing it bouncing at -19 to -25 sometimes -32...it will do this for a short bit till i need to boost or press accel? Is this a sign of a turbo goin bad? Or is this nothing and i can go on my marry way? Please help thanks.

at idle, the vac should be a minimum of 17. normal is 17 - 21 i believe. and it shouldn't flutter around. where do you have your boost gauge tapped into? you should have it T'd into the line running from the fuel pressure solenoid to the intake manifold. this is the best/most accurate spot. from what i've read, if you have it tapped into anything else, it could cause fluttering with the needle. when you're driving and in gear and you let off the gas, the vac should stay in one spot, not move around like it does. i highly doubt it's a sign of a turbo going bad. maybe you have a vac leak somewhere.

I have it T'd into that spot. I have never had this problem until recently. The only time it flutters is when the gas is released but not completely...if i barely push it in as to where i am really not accelerating just have my foot on the pedal it will constantly flutter from -15 to -32 area. If completely let off it drops to the -34 range. Going down hill with the cruise on also makes it flutter. I have checked all main areas for boost leak and can't find any. I am still getting boost and it doesn't seem weaker than usual...although it does have 122,000 miles on it. Any other idea thanks!

could be a gauge problem...make sure the vac tube running to the gauge is secrue in the adapter and be sure there are no harsh bends or holes in this tube.

Checked the lines for the gauges and both are good don't see any cracks or anything...plus it would be strange to see both gauges go bad, i dunno!? How long do the t-25s last?

I highly doubt it has anything to do with your turbo.
As for how long the T-25's last... it all depends on the driving... maintenance... miles... so on and so forth...

I was driving it this morning about 5 in the morning and noticed it wasn't doing it as much...i am wondering if the heat during the day (75-85 degrees fahrenheit) has anything to do with it. Later ontoday i will drive it and see if any difference is there.

I know that the outside temp affects the performance of a forced induction vehicle along with the barometric pressure...humidity...blah blah blah

What I am gonna do is take it in to a mechanic because it is past the 120,000 miles and need to do all the required maintenace, i will have them look at it then.

I had the same problem, only not as severe. Mine would flutter about 1 - 2 in Hg. It turned out that my compression fitting on the back of the gauge was screwed up. Replaced the fitting = problem solved. Might want to try that, because it's so cheap.
