GM is a Sh*t

GM is a Sh*t Company. I have a 2003 Chevy Cav. LS. The car runs Great, get good Gas Mileage, Great with Vision. I change the oil every 7000 miles as GM States. I use only Syn. oils( Amsoil, Mobil 1). The last oil change( 72,345 Miles) I notice White specs in the oil. Oil has a Dark Choc Milk look to it.( I'm thinking Head Gasket) I called the dealer where I bought the car and asked if the Head Gasket is under Warrenty. He said Yes. ( I brought the extended Warrrenty for up to 120,000 miles.) He then Said I'm not under warrenty because THEY have not serviced the car. I told him I do all the Servicing. That is not good enough.
I can't believe this Crap.
Is there a Mr. Goodwrench out there that can help me out with dealing with a Dealer?????

as far as i know Ford is like that as well. My friend blew up his engine in his svt contour, and Ford would not warranty it because he changed his own oil instead of paying the stealership to do it. Im sure just about every dealer is like that.

That is a federal felony if they do not honor the warranty. They have to prove that it was his fault for not changing the oil. The secret is keep your receipts for oil and filters, along with good records. They cannot deny a warranty claim just because you did your own oil changes.

keep going to different dealerships until you find one that will do it. Its not like the money for the repair comes out of their pocket, they get reimbursed from GM. If they didn't want to do the repair it likely means that they're too lazy or busy.

Further to the above post, GM might audit their warranty claim, but this is rare. If they do, GM will demand to see the repair receipts that the dealer must provide in order to get paid. It's tougher for them to provide your receipts as proof, instead of the records on file.

GM pays warranty work 'by the book' using the industry accepted listing of the time required to do the work. Therefore, dealerships potentially can make more money doing non-warranty work, since they can suggest, and often do sell additional work when the car is in. So, given the choice, they would rather do non warranty work first.
