well you dont have to replace the engine, the engine can hold up to 10 psi on stock internals, id probably run like 9 tho to stay on the safe side. im not sure where to get a good deal on one to tell u the truth, my brother got one for 1600 used... hes a member of asog.net and people sell stuff like that on there all the time. but if you joined that website im sure you could find a lot of help there.

if you want to do it right everyone in the mitsubishi forums will tell you to go with a Hahn racing turbo kit. They're about $2000 used if you're lucky, but, you can easily piece a turbo kit together for around $800 by getting the plumbing done by a local custom exaust shop and getting a T3/T4 turbo off ebay and an intercooler from Ford. One of their super diesel's uses a turbo with a nice size front mount. It's about $150 from the dealership remaned. You can get the turbo for around $300-$400 or cheaper on ebay and then all you need is the turbo flange that allows you to bolt up the turbo. You're probably going to want a turbo timer and an electronic boost controller as well. The turbo timer extends your turbo life.
