Strange starting problem

Lately my truck has been acting up. What it does is when I start it up it will stall shortly. And then eventually it won't start up at all, it would just crank. When we try again the next day it would do the same, start, stall, and just crank. We checked the battery, alternator and the coil and all are working as they should. Haven't got to checking anything else yet. I thought about checking fuel components but here is where it gets wierd, my stereo loses all presets. When it does stall out the stereo get reset. Is there way the ignition system can affect my deck? Any ideas guys? This is really driving me nuts. Thanks.

It's a 98 S-10 4.3l vortec 4x4.
