Well, I am done. Used the suggestions and did change the exhuast pipes (length).. colored it YELLOW...(I find light colors hard to layer and shadow...) and did a bit of blends and tints.. all in Illustrator. Took a lot of time on this experiimenting with several techniques.
Hope you like it.. I left the outside of the tires fairly plain... and did keep copies of each stage as suggested. thanks CC's appreciated. Robo

That looks really cool! :grinyes:
The only part that i don't dig is the tread lines on the bottom of the tires and not on top. I think the only reason that i notice it is that the site logo and your signature point to it.

Very nice, I think the Yellow makes it spectacular. It was a challenge that you seemingly handled very well. I love it!

Thanks for the CC's.. I know that I didn't complete certain things (like the tread all the way up the tire, but...I didn't want to... lazy in my old age, Had it been for someone, rather than just trying different things, I would have.
I really enjoyed doing this one because I almost bought a Mangusta in '72, but after seeing that you couldn't get to the engine... forget about it.

i like it.
it needs more contrast everywhere. go to image adjustment and play with it. it will be stronger.
