im back with another sweet problem.

My computer had a few viruses so i decided to reinstall XP. in the middle of setup, the computer just restarted. no warning or anything. and now thats all it does every time i try to perform setup. ive already replaced the power supply with a 430w unit, tried a different hard drive, and tried using a different house outlet to plug it into. so all thats left is motherboard, or damage that a virus may have caused. any ideas?

hitachi 60gb hd
as rock motherboard
128mb geforce 4
antec 430w true power
plugged into a big surge protector

Could possibly be a bad RAM module or bad processor.

Can you get to the BIOS when its part way started, settings problems could be causing this

But if it didn't finish the install, I dont know what can be done,

The new HDD didn't change anything? Plastic_Fork may be right
