Buy a car that already runs 9's, you won't do it. No joke, if you don't know HOW to do it, you are so far away from 9's its not even funny. Get a 1g GSX to run 12's first.

:werd: How can you POSSIBLY ask how to run 9's (and 8's is absolutely out of the question for you right now) when you haven't even ran 12's yet?! http://www.dsmtuners.com/tuning-guide/2gturbo/ <--- set up a parts list of what you think you'll need to get into the 12's/high 11's and then check back with us. It takes a LOT of knowledge, experience, and awesome driving/tuning just to run low 11's in a full weight 2g. It may be slightly easier if you gutted it out, but just try to get the basics down first.

Start with low 12's as a goal, then work your way up as your driving/tuning/experience grows :)

Just from reading, I found out to run 9's and below, you need at least 800hp

You'll need at least a t-67, 1600 cc, aem ems, race rods (groden or similar), not ones you can use on the street. Nitrous would help too.....Good luck with FWD.

Which i meant was 9's have been accomplished by eclipses at least 5+ years ago.
Read the mag D-Sport (i think) and they have a 1236 hp eclipse that runs 7's (or 8's I think)

Yea, DSMs have been running 9s for a couple years now, but how many do you know that do it repeatedly? Who are these names? I'll answer it for you, they are people who have been racing DSMs since they hit the market.

I didn't say 9's were not possible, I said you won't be running 9's. 95 GSXracer has a 95 GSX for sale RIGHT NOW. LandoAWD has a 92 AWD for sale RIGHT NOW, both on this site. Marco from Magnus Motorsports said he might sell his 9 second (green?) car. If you are loaded, do it the easy way.

Here's the thing. If you want to be fast, you have to talk to the guys who do it. Except... they won't talk to you because you sound like a fool coming to a basic DSM forum telling us that you will be faster than all of us, but yet you don't know how to do it. Call me dumb again, because I haven't been listening to the guys that run 8's and 9's for years. You aren't there yet.

Ok for one... YOU ARE NOT GOING TO RUN 9's IN ANY FWD in the next few years so start researching. Two... To run a 9 in FWD you would have to have about 300hp up and over John shepherd who already runs a low 8, traps enough to run a 7.

Your not going to run a 9 on a GT35R unless the car weighs less than 2k lbs.
You wont need an SAFC. Not possible.
Eagle rods wont even come close to holding up.
1- Walbro pump isnt going to happen. You most likly will need atleast 2.

The amount of money and time its going to take to make a FWD DSM run that time is just insane. Expecially when you start talking about the suspension and safty features you need just to run at the track. Then you need to find a turbo that isnt going to lag (good luck) too much so you can actually get a good launch in but not spin all the way down the track. Then the fuel to support it and the motor to handle it. I bet by the time your done you have 50k into a FWD that only runs 9s. Hope you got deep pockets.

If u can prove that u can do it than u will have more respect from these people because its proven that gst are very hard to reach 9's 10's if possible without wasteing so much money. No one with a fast car acts like a 15 year old. Coincidence? Probably not. The only real problem I had with the original post is that the same thing always comes from topics like this. Exactly nothing. No one posting about a parts list for a 9 second car ever comes back and says "hey guys, thanks for that list, I have a 9 second car now." Its not worth the time. 90% of the reason is that the parts list is only 10% of the equation.

Personally, the way I see it, we cant make a parts list for you... Look at recent posts, even my posts about running times. People post up a parts list and ask if they a good supporting mods to a certain time or hp goal of theirs. You cant just come on here or go up to the best most experianced person in the world and say, "Hey, I want to run 9s. What do I need?" He will most like respond "Stop watching the Fast and the Furious and get into the 12s first, then go for 11s and 10s. When you reach that then start worring about 9s!" You cant just buy a shit tone of parts that will support a 9 second run, slap them on a car and have it run that. There is a lot more to it, like the driver, tuning, and getting the car to stay together. Do more searching, then get the car, then start asking how to achieve smaller goals. Its fine to set huge goals at first but it will take a long ass time to achieve them!
