i just bought a 2001 ford escape the 4wd v6 was just wondering if there was a way to better the gas mileage it doesnt seem as good as what is says it should be. maybe a lead foot. but stuff like better wires better plugs better distributor. and how do you guys feel about those damn air intake fans like the tornado i have heard mixed things. sounds like a scam. i think i might sell an air intake screen because it seperates the air allowing for better fuel economy. :naughty: so better fuel mileage what ya think. thanks :eek7:

You guys are crazy....why didn't you buy a Toyota RV4 with a 4 banger??
You want power, that's why.....I have a V6 also..Tribute though....and it is great for power....I just fill it up when I need to...small tank though is the problem. You could try the old tricks also, like putting it in neutral on long down hills or shutting it off at stop lights and gas station lines. That stuff gets old though like the people doing it. You can also push it too when you are gas lines to save gas.
