tamiya spray problem (metallic paint)

Hi, I'm asking you for my friend for some help about this problem:

Paint before painting had good temperature and it was mixed for quite a long time (about 3-4 min) but after painting some "marks" appeared, it looks like the paint wasn't mixed properly. He wasn't painting from very short distance, so it propably isn't a paint run. There are two coats of primer and two coats of paint here. I really don't know what to think about that, anybody?

It looks like you may have sprayed too thick of a coat and it ran.

Your coats was too tick. you should make many light coat.

For two coats it's definately too thick. Looks like the panel lines are starting to fill up. Just drop it in some dot 3 brake fluid for a few hours, scrub with an old tooth brush to get all the old paint off and start over. This time use light mist coats.

You said he was painting from a very short distance, he might want to back the can up a bit from the model.

Definetly a case of "paint running". First of all, let the primer dry, there are as many opinions as modelers about how long you should wait, but take a day to be on the safe side.( you have other parts to work on,right?)
Then mist on a coat, meaning a quick pass with the can. Try not to cover at this stage. wait a while, mist some more. Patience,people,patience :)..
If you run a paintjob, the paint will, eh..run.

Is that Tamiya TS alumimum? If yes I had (almost) the same problem.
It definately in my limited experience seems more prone to running - it is somehow "runnier" and really needs lighter/finer coats.

This paint is very liquid and allthou it does not have usual paint run thick marks it is paint run for sure. Be extra carefull with metalic paint because they are very thin. Allthou it would be good to strip all down and start again you may rescribe the panel lines, slightly wet sand complete body and recoat it but be carefull not to sand through the paint as you will not be able to hide that. And make at least 3-5 very very light coats and I think one heavy will be eneugh (let it dry first for at least 30 minutes).

+1 on the 'paint run' , that's happend to me. The good news is that if you don't see a bulge when you look at it from the side, you can just add a couple of light mist coats over that and the color will even out. You're basically just covering it up. But make sure you scribe out your lines a little. Or you can just strip it down if the 'bulge' from the runny paint is noticeable (enough to irk you anyway).
