Ran out of Gas....Now car won't start

Hey all,
Yesterday I ran out of gas while on my way to the gas station. We were able to push the car there. When we got there we put gas in the car from the station owner's can, which may or may not have contained contaminents, but he said that it didn't, as he had just put some in his truck.

Anyways, we put that in and the car starts, but doesn't actually run well at all, rpm's under 500 and fluctuationg, and it would pretty much completely stall if i gave it any throttle. So we decide that there might not be enough gas in the tank, so we put another $10 in. This time the car starts after a while of cranking, but is still running rough tho the rpms were higher.

About a minute later i tried giving the car gas as it was starting to stall again, and it stalled. Now all it does is turn over, with no indication of the car actually trying to start.

A buddy of mine recently replaced the fuel filter, and there is pressure coming from the fuel pump, but the car still refuses to start. Anyone have any advice before I am forced to take it to the stealer later today?
Thx a lot

put some marvel magic in the gas because the gas the guy gave you in the can might have had small engine fluid ( the stuff you put in gas for weed eaters an chain saws ) my son put the wrong gas in my car once when he wanted to take it for a joy ride an i had to flush it to make it run right again if its not that than the only other thing it could be in the fuel pump
