I'm probably gonna get a ribbing for this, but i don't care :grinno:
I'm putting together a compilation of the cheesiest 80's tunes i can find. The songs have to be good (in a cheesy kind of way), so make some suggestions! :icon16:
To give you an idea, ive put together a few tunes from such legendary bands as Boston, the Cars, Europe, Robert Tepper () so anything along those lines is what im looking for. I'm expecting contributions from you, Jimmy, and all the other oldies on AF :iceslolan

How about- "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" by Wham, "Just a Gigolo" by David Lee Roth, "We Built This City" by The Starship, and "Our House" by Madness.

Preliminary CD was made today. Blasting down the streets with 80's cheese pumping out of the stereo was comical, not to mention highly embarrassing for the missus. I did feel somewhat self-conscious when Danger Zone was blaring out while sitting at the traffic lights :lol2:

Anything by Rod Stewart
My favorite Rod Stewart song from the '80s was "Infatuation" in 1984. That was the year I graduated high school and that song was CONSTANTLY being played on the Top 40 stations, good memories. It seemed a bit different than some of the songs he came out with around that time, and after that he seemed to really 'mellow out'. I bought his 4 disc box set about 10-12 years ago and that song is on it:thumbsup:.

Ok, I have one song that is so cheesy it makes my head spin. But, it sucks!!! It's from 82-84. I don't really recall. It's called" I got a brand new pair of rollerskates you got a brand new key." I cannot for the life of me remember who sings it, the year, ect. If any of the older forum members can help me out I'd really appreciate it. If you figure it out just e-mail me. Thanks.

Good, somebody who knows it. I'm only 30, my buddy is 36. He sang that damn song all race weekend long. I asked him who sang it. He had no clue, said he heard another friend of his singing it.
