Uneven bed??

Has anyone ever noticed on some older trucks that the bed is higher in the back than the front next to the cab? I have an '89 C1500 and it seems that the bed is higher in the back than in the front. I know that the very front of the truck is lower than the rear on stock suspensions. It just seems that the the rear fo the bed is higher than it should be and the body lines of the truck seem slightly skewed. I have heard of the Chevy lean where the passenger side of the vehicle might be higher than the drivers side, but not from front to back. Is my frame bent or are there bed mounts that are worn? Any help would great.

Mine is the same way. I personally think that the coil springs are getting tired in mine. The beds don't really have "mounts" to speak of they are just bolted down w/six bolts.

I always thought that was by design. So you can put a load in the bed and still have some spring left.

Isn't the body mounted to frame with rubber bushings? I am sure mine does because I have replaced them on my 1979 C20. they tend to squeak when old and cracked.

well my 73 cheyenne didnt have any rubber bushings, just the 2 for the radiator support and the 4 for the cab

right the cab and the front end is mounted w/bushings, the bed is just bolted on.
