Engine&Tranny Swap 92 K1500

Currently i have a 92 K1500 4.3 with 5spd. It just turned 183K the other day, and is extremely tired. The engine has some nice valve tick, the starter works when it wants, and other misc problems there. The tranny rarely works in 1st, it slams out pretty hard, and 4th usually takes some feathering of both the clutch and gas to get it to stick in. The 4wd is inoperable (i took the driveshaft off, it was wobbling, and i believe the actuator was bad anyhow, in didnt engage last time i tried).

I have a 350 with a 700r4 2wd sitting around from a 88 suburban. I left the wiring harness in tact and kept the computer. I also saved the motor mounts. the fuel pump died and i sent it to the scrap yard, (only after stuffing it full of 3 tons of junk).

I was hoping to put it in my truck, but was looking for some possible problems i might run in to along the way. I figured on making it 2wd for the time being, as i dont use 4wd often anyhow and need to do this cheap.
The computers have the same wiring harnesses, so that should be OK. I am unsure of the tranny crossmembers being swappable, or the motor mounts. Also, without measuring I'm unsure if i will need a new driveshaft.
If i need to i can pick up plenty of parts from 2wd trucks with the same body style to fit into mine, but would like to avoid it if possible. Hopefully some of you guys can give some advice to prevent major headaches when i get to tearing it apart.

Thanks!
