Quick QU and I cant find the answer.
How much coolant does an ESi take? Also, flushing out with a garden hose... I could hook the hose up to the little radiator cap after drained, right? Thanks

There is an answer to this is on vfaq. I don't really know how to post a link for vfaq since it's all frames but search around there. I think's it's something like 7.6L or something round there.

Its 1 gal of anti-freeze and 1 gal of water. So after u pour all your anti-freeze in use that same coolant gallon and fill it up full with water and there you go. 50/50

This is the same thing I do. Run the car to operating temp with the cap off and the heat on to work out all the bubbles. Make sure the overflow is a little over the full line, since when that coolant contracts it will pull some from the bottle.

I drained and flushed the whole system and installed the new resivior. The system only took alittle more than 1 gallon of 50/50 anti/water. The tank is filled in the middle. Ive driven it alot, (even with the heat on) and it drains alittle and fills back up then. No problem, and the car runs great.

The block and head hold a lot of water/coolant. All you can really drain is the radiator. Head too I guess, since it will drain the block only as low as the bottom of the watre pump inlet.
