I need more traction for my 97 mustang gt. Mods: cold air intake, long tube headers to h-pipe exhaust w/out cats, thunderbolt mufflers/ stock tailpipes. 1/4 mile stayed the same but i lost 4/10 of a sec on my 60 ft. because i just sat and spun at the line.

how much money are you looking to spend, and how much work are you willing to do. these questions will go a far way to have some better replies for you. if you are willing to put out the money, i suggest some new shocks/struts and springs. this will be aroung 600, depending on what you use ofcorsue. keep in mind, you will lose alot of your handeling ability in turns if you want to hook up. its something to make sure you dont mind before you build a bouncy suspension biased to straight line proformance. if you want to do a little less work. than for probly a little less money i would invest in some drag radial tires. i suggest nitto 555's if u need a bit more mileage out of them {about 20,000 mile tire} or bfg g force series tire if u want more grip but ull go down to baout 15-18,000 miles. both would be ideal but a bit more info will go along ways to getting better replies. good luck man.
