If you mount a teardrop hood -- it won't be a sleeper.

Also, be warned that the 1960-1965 Falcon's wheel wells are about the tightest I've seen (and I drive a Tiger), so for tires big enough to use a 351 you'll be cutting the fenders, or "tubbing" it.

That said, I've found that Falcons aren't bad-driving little cars at all, as long as you understand it's 40 year old technology.

Hmm. Early Mustang suspension goodies should fit.

I reacll there used to be a kit to fit three carbs on the straight six, by welding on two more mounting bosses on the (integral, won't come off the head) intake manifold. That might be interesting, especially if you can find a 250ci six. OTOH, 260/289/302 is probably easier, and cheaper.

Oh ok! yeah i know a teardrop hood wouldn't make it a sleeper but i wanted to be able to put in on when i race. but about the 351w...so u don't think it would fit?? well let me know--> i wouldn't even ming a 289 or a 302 but i was hopin a 351 but let me know ok that would be greatly appreciated-- and thanX 4 the help-->

Oh man, forget it.
The Falcon is a nice nostalgia piece, but it is simply not a performance car, by any stretch of the imagination. It is a small, light, relatively fragile old car.
Any kind of mods will require a stout engine and matching transmission.........requiring much cutting, welding and swearing to get it to fit, with custom engine and trans mounts, custom driveshaft.....then your front suspension will be crushed by the extra weight......then the extra power will tear out the rear axle and make for mondo rear wheel hop with the spindly rear springs..............that your rims and tires are way too skinny requiring new ones to actually get some grip.........

You see, each step to modify it produces expensive and complex problems to solve..............and if you were going to do this right, you will spend thousands of bucks to build a car that would be worth nothing (who wants a 4 door Falcon hot rod?).
Drive the car, enjoy it for what it is, SAVE YOUR MONEY and in a couple of years sell it (it will be worth more stock), and buy a decent performance car.

ok well know that i know you don't agree with that--> yeah well i'm eventually gonna get a 69 camaro and my dad might be getting a 66' GTO next month but yeah--> i'm not gonna ever sell the car i bought it as a project and once i figure it out i'm gonna get sumptin with more gut's--> k? ok well thanX 4 the input and if anybody else has more suggestions let me know ok--->
