I bought two megan racing gauges off ebay. One is boost and one is oil pressure. i bought a black gauge pod that you screw (attatch somehow) on to the sotck pillar. the problem is, the gauges barely go in all the way, where little part still sticks out. then, either they are really deep or the pod is too shallow, and the ends of the gauges stick out to where when i put the pod on the stock pillar, it wnot go on all the way, it sticks up because the gauges are hitting the pillar. should i get new gauges, new pod, cut out pieces of pillar for gauge sticking out parts to just go through so will sit down nicely?

just if it dosent fit by a little bit cut out the back part of the gauge pod and make it look nice cover it up or paint the back of the gauge itself black. just be creative and get it to fit .

i would just MODIFY. don't spend more money you could be using that for other upgrades.

I don't get what you mean cut out the back of the gauge pod. and what does painting it have to do with it. look at these pictures to see what i mean.

they just stick out and hit the stock pillar. even if i cut the pillar would they hit the metal below the pillar in the cars body?
