yes, its true, i am single right now, but if i was dating a girl that i was headover heels for, i would not ever sell my car unless we were having a baby or something drastic like that. i have told girls that id choose my car over them before when i was dating them, and somehow they understood. it doesnt talk back, or ever cheat or backstab me, although it is similar to girls(more money i put in the more i get out of it!)lol
im just a car freak i guess.

Our cars in general handle better, are more reliable, don't require you to talk on the phone with them all night and give please on demand (right foot)

It's an RX-7 thing. It's something women will have to deal with.

The best things about cars...

You can turn them "on" whenver you want :naughty:.

GF's, not so easy. Too much work involved with that. Another + for the Cars better than gals side.

Cars are a real good way to channel lost love for us guys. Especially us guys who used to have g/f and not our cars.

We all feel that way, we just usually lie to the women to get more ass.

My bf does. He's got a Skyline and I know he does. He's only just got it back after a year because he's a slackass fixing it. He had a picture of it next to his bed and he cancelled plans with ME to fix his car >:|

Choose.

Watch your baby (the car) get beaten to a pulp by a bunch of rednecks with hammers and bats. Then get crushed slowly into a 1'x1' cube

or

Dump your girlfriend?

I'd dump her. And I hope she doesn't ever read this.

I'll be straight up - I'm into my car way more then my girlfriend :) - and I think she knows it too. That's why it's a "short term" relationship. With my car, however, I know that it'll always stick around :)

so ghostrx7....does that mean that you'll sell me your rx7 if you get a kid? O_owell yeah, i'll choose the car....cars can get other chicks....

I would never get rid of a car because a girl told me to. If we were married and she said I couldn't have my Ferrari, screw her, if I'm financially able to support her, myself and the car of my dreams what the hell should she care as long as i don't ignore her.

At this point in my life I'd give up my truck for a girl to care about though.

Oz
05-11-2005, 09:32 PM
The core issue is - if you had a woman that loved you, and you loved the car, she wouldn't make you get rid of it without some fucking good reasons!

thrasher
05-11-2005, 09:52 PM
Agreed. Any woman that's good enough will understand your passion for cars, and if she forces you to make a choice, she's not that great of a woman. That being said, I definitely like my girlfriend way more than either of my cars, which says a lot.

Muscletang
05-11-2005, 10:02 PM
This reminds me of a guy I kind of know. He had a '63 Corvette and either a '56 or a '66. Anyway, his wife made him get rid of those cars because "he spent too much time and money on them." :screwy:

you're forgetting the question though OZ. it is girlfriend or car. not pussy or car.

I agree with pussy>car but pussy does not = girlfriend. so I think the proper order here would be....

pussy>car>girlfriend.... but maybe i'm just jaded :icon16:

honda_racing101
05-11-2005, 10:13 PM
yeah knorwj i agree with pussy>car>girlfriend all the way and i think if the girl gets jealous of the car then she clearly doesnt understand the role of a car to a car guy.

Callum keeps a picture of one of the cruddiest/most overated cars ever made by his bed? :p I almost feel sorry enough for him to buy him a Honda :D He's almost as bad as my friends brother who keeps a picture of his Mitsubishi Galant by his bed :headshake:

Back to the topic: A wierd thing happened the other day, I was walking down the Terrace when this SMOKIN hot office-secretary lady (I'm talking a 9-9.5 here) walks by me, so I'm like "Damn she's fine................ HOLY SHIT THAT 5 SERIES IS A MANUAL!!!"

So I'm starting to think I like cars better than women.

pickle
05-11-2005, 11:17 PM
That's because you can't get women Jared. There's a difference. AND YOU CAN KEEP THE HONDA! If you're gonna buy him anything, buy him a Chevelle.

I'm fine with his love for his Skyline, as long as I get to see him a few times a week. If he starts having sex with his car (which his roommate is 100% more likely to do than him) then I will be worried.

Car>girlfriend. I know my baby will be there for me when I need it and dont have to worry about having to call it to keep it happy to get what I want out of it.

Ha ha this reminds me of a friend I once knew who cared more about his car than any girl he knew. He constantly "babied"it cleaning it , waxing, etc. One day we were out drinking and I got in his car and I guess I stepped in dog crap before getting in his car. OMG I never heard the end of it. Come to think of it in the 8 years that I hung around with him he really didn't hold onto a girlfriend for any length of time. I always wanted to play a trick on him like in the movie "Grumpy Old Men" where the one guy puts a dead fish under the seat of his friends car.

Ssom
05-11-2005, 11:57 PM
Just becuase you woo women with your intellect and charming good looks, Jared, there's no need to take it out on others. AND YOU CAN KEEP THE CHEVELLE! If you're gonna buy him anything, buy him a 1995 Honda Accord EXi-S.

I'm sorry, though you should thank me for taking the time to edit it to what you really meant. :D

Hmm.. few reasons she would want to sell your car:
- It's a classic and didn't run for a while, "the extra money will help us buy or payoff this and that...."
- "It looks ugly! I hate it when I have to be seen coming out of it."

Honestly, I really don't see myself getting rid of my car for a girl. :screwy:

If she said it'll help pay off stuff i'd say "Well..it wont sell for much.. so no point in doing that." :D

and for the second one i'd say "Well then you follow me everywhere we go and get a job to pay for your own car/gas/stuff."
