My drivers side window is down about 2 inches and the switch went bad. Does anybody know how to get the window up until I can get the MONEY for a new switch, which is $90
Thanks
Thanks

No idea how to get it up, but you might want to make sure it's just the switch. Mine died (completely down, might I add) and it was the motor AND the switch. The motor burned out because the window was rubbing against a piece of rubber inside the door when it was moving, and the switch died at the same time. It may have been just a coincidence that mine did that, but you might want to check.

Same here, got the window to close by rocking the switch back and forth very fast till it closed. BTW im ABSOLUTELY positive it is the regulator assembly. The cable gets all bound up inside the damn thing

I remember seeing several posts a while back in here about window problems. It seems the regulators in these cars go bad easily. I'm positive mine was partly the switch, I heard "click. SPROING!" when I pressed the button. That happened on my '97 and my '99.

take the door panel off and make sure it's not something simple like a dirty connecter or a window off its track.

Girl, Is SPROING a real word, or did you make that up?

It was the best way to describe the sound I heard. I made it up, I have this way with words :P

I bought a new driver side switch ($100!), but asked the shop how to get the window up if the switch didn't work. He said to take the door panel off, and apply 12 volts directly to the motor connections (assuming the motor is good). One way will take it down, flip them to get take it up. Worth a shot.

*Whistles* $100? Glad I get my parts at a discount. Just to let you know how much of a markup there is on parts, I get my parts at dealer cost plus 10% cause my dad used to work there. I got my switch for $58
