I have the all too common CPI leak, and I would like to know where You got your CPI parts(with numbers) and how much they where. I understand that they are WAY cheaper online.

Thanks for your time.

Go to http://www.lindertech.com/index.html
Reconditioned
VORTEC CPI Unit
Part # CPI-28014
They also sell a new unit; that is what I purchased instead of the re-conditioned one.
Give them a call, they will help. They are out of Indianapolis.
It is not a hard job, just be patient. Also, replace the nut kit (fuel lines)
CPI Line Kit
Part# CPI-2705
while you are in there, save time from doing it in a couple of months. When you call, ask for Doug. He'll make sure you get what you need.:smokin:

I got my complete at advance for $270.00. I tend to warn people against getting critical parts like that online. Here's why...

If something happenes to it during the warranty, you have to pull it out, ship it back, wait for them to check it, then approve a replacement, then wait for it to come back. This can take up to two weeks in some cases.

I've known people to buy the lindertech unit and have it go 6 mos later (not saying it's a bad product) and be without their truck for a week and a half to 2 weeks.

If you buy it locally, simply catch a ride to where you got it at and swap it out, go back home, install it, drive.

rlith has a point, but I also had a problem with lindertech, my initial cpi / reg leaked that was sent, they NEXT DAY shipped me a replacement without me having to ship original back. I was very happy with that (not the leaking one) and that's why I recommend them, that was 1st class customer service. Of course, as always buyer beware, I have had some crappy experiences on line, too.

Rlith,
I took you advice and picked one up at Advance for $279.99,Nut Kit@ dealer for $60.59,Gasket@ dealer for $16.99.
I got the whole shabang for around $380 W/tax,I found a "kit" on Ebay for $320 Buy it now Plus $10 for shipping and $7 for insurance. The way I see it for $43 more I had the parts the same day and a job complete in 1 hour 15 minutes. That seemed like a good deal. So my point is just call around and get it local. Good advice Rlith.

Special thanks to BlazerLT for the links and reading,it made my job easy.
