question

hey everyone, im new here and i got a question thats been killin me. i just replaced my flowmasters on my monte carlo with straight pipes and i was wonderin if i lost horse power?? the car sounds loud and beautiful but not sure if i lost power. was it dumb of me?? sum1 let me know. thanks
