Automatic turbo pro's and con's

What would be the pro's and con's of an automatic turbo? I heard that with an auto your car would always be boosting since the throttle plate would always be open...is this tru ? And what about other things like upgraded torque converters, etc? Sorry so many questions, im a noob i know.

Honda automatic transmissions don't take kindly to boost and there's not really enough aftermarket support for torque converters that would handle boost reliably. Your best bet is to make a conversion to a manual transmission - it'll hold up to boost a lot more reliably.
