I was wondering how much work it takes to turbo the NA 944 obviously if u can get a turbo do it but they're pretty rare and more expensive. Porsches can be a serious bitch to work on. With a limited starting budget (5k) finding a turbo is uncommon unless theyve been beaten up a little. i can save for later work but the initial amount i can spend on the car is limited.

Where do you live? Here in the North east you can find a decent 944 turbo for 5grand. It will probably have over 100,000 miles but that’s not to bad. I have asked about turboing a NA 944 on a few different sites and trust me its not worth it. You will spend more money trying to turbo a NA 944 then you would have spent buying a mint 951. Just be patient and keep your eyes open. Try autotrader.com, if your in the north east bargainnews.com, and rennlist.com classified section. Happy hunting.
