Stage 1 of my project has finally commenced. My car is now in the hands of JE Import Performance awaiting a Spec Stage 3 clutch, Fidanza flywheel, and Quaife LSD.

I am excited and bummed out at the same time. My car was down all last week cause of two snapped bolts during a EGR valve replacement that resulted in my having to take apart the whole intake plenum and drilling out the stuck bolts. I finally got my car up and running for the weekend and now today I am again without my baby for the rest of the week while it is in the shop. I am now currently driving a 90's something Jeep Cherokee..... puke green....with a rainbow frog sticker on the back glass holding up a peace sign....sexy.

Can't wait to get my baby out of the shop to break in the clutch. Then I'm waiting on three more parts that should arrive the middle of next week so I can take my car back to the shop to start with the turbo install.

I'm doing everything at once to try to get rid of the weakpoints before they hold me back later. I'm doing the tranny work now so that I have time to break in the clutch and then when I get the final few parts for the turbo kit I will go ahead and get that done for stage 2 of the install process.

i thought you would really do all of it together, like turbo, clutch, flywheel, lsd.

cuz thats what i'm doing.

I didn't want to do it all at once because when the turbo gets put in they'll need to dyno tune it and I didn't want them ragging on the brand new clutch. So this way I'll know that the clutch has been broken in properly and it will be able to handle the dyno tune session.

As soon as the last of my parts come in (which should be next week) and my clutch is broken in I will have the car back in the shop. Hopefully I'll have it in the shop for turbo in the next two weeks.

:ylsuper: Shop just called me today and said car would be ready tomorrow. Now I get a fun weekend of city driving to break in the clutch. I also get to sit down with the shop owner and see how much its gonna dent my bank account to get the turbo installed at $65 an hour.

Oh and also a little bad news. He said upon start up the power steering belt squeeks for like a half second and that the power steering and alternator belts are cracking. So that's another $60 or so in parts and another $90 in labor that will be added to the turbo cost. Hopefully the timing belt is in good shape so I dont have to replace that too.
